Description

Mercury thermometer. Attached to metal scale by two brass brackets, two crossed brackets protecting bottom of thermometer. On left of scale are Fahrenheit degrees from 30 to 140. On right are gradations from "FREEZ" (sic) to "HOT BATH" and inscription: Dr. FORBES | SPECIFICATION. Thermometer and scale are attached to shaped wooden handle with hole at top. From among items belonging to Nicholas II, his family and attendants found in and around Ipatiev House in Yekaterinburg.
