Description

Pair of major general's shoulder boards. Gold zigzag galoon, two silver thread stars, brass buttons with double eagle over crossed anchors. Top of shoulder boards has chamfered corners. Black piping and lining. One shoulder board has black lace with metal ends. From among items belonging to Nicholas II, his family and attendants found in and around Ipatiev House in Yekaterinburg. May have belonged to Vasilii Aleksandrovich Dolgorukov or Il’ia Leonidovich Tatishchev, both of whom were major generals in 1918.

Bequeathed by Bishop Nektary (Kontsevich) to Archbishop Kyrill (Dmitrieff) in 1983.
