Description

Jetton of the Mikhailovsky Artillery School (Михайловское артиллерийское училище). Circular silver medallion surmounted by brass crown. On top of obverse is brass applique half wreath with blue enamel bow. Along bottom is blue enamel inscription: М. Артиллерiйское Уч. In center of medallion is applied gold letter M and engraved year 1820 (year of the school's founding). On reverse in relief is a flaming grenade above two crossed cannon, and engraved inscription: П. Н. Буковскiй | 1901. On short chain.

History Note

Given to Pavel Nartsisovich Bukovskii, who taught at the Sergievsky Artillery School in Odessa (Сергиевское артиллерийское училище), which operated from 1913-1917.
