Description

Priest's phelonion. Gold brocade with red, gold and silver threads; yoke is of red velvet embroidered with raised gold metallic thread, inscription "Симъ побѣда" ("Through this -- victory") over cross; below cross are crossed oak branch with acorns and a palm branch. This phelonion was probably sewn in 1912 for the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Borodino.
