Prayer book. Printed in black and red. 8 leaves, not paginated. Five reproductions of icons. Paper cover with gilt relief foliate design and circle in center with lettering in Church Slavonic characters: БЛАГОСЛОВЕ- | НIЕ ЕЯ ИМПЕРАТОСКА- | ГО ВЕЛИЧЕСТВА ГОСУДАРЫНИ | ИМПЕРАТРИЦЫ АЛЕКСАН- | ДРЫ ѲЕОДОРОВНЫ ("Blessing of Her Imperial Highness Alexandra Fedorovna"). Given out to soldiers during the World War I as a blessing memento by Empress Alexandra Fedorovna. On verso of first leaf is space for the recipient's name to be filled in by hand. Belonged to Boris Vasilevich Sergeev of the Life-Guard Finliandksii Regiment (Лейб-Гвардии Финляндский Полк), who was wounded in 1915. Inside book is loose light blue paper with prayer of St. Ephraim the Syrian handwritten in graphite.

On verso of first leaf is handwritten inscription in blue ink: Борис Сергеев | полковникъ Л. Гвардiи | Финляндскаго полка | раненъ в ногу в бою противъ | нѣмцевъ 1915 г. умеръ | въ Парижѣ 196 г. ("Boris Sergeev, colonel of the L[ife] Guard Finliandskii regiment, wounded in the leg in battle against the Germans in 1915, died in Paris in 196_")
