Made by Faberge. Presented as a 25th wedding anniversary gift of Grand Duke Konstantin Konstantinovich to his wife Grand Duchess Elizaveta Mavrikievna in 1909. Silver gilt frame in Empire style. Rectangular, topped with triangular pediment. Frame is flanked by pilasters with Corinthian capitals, applique geometric and foliate ornaments along column, and sphinxes on bases. Backed in wood with hinged silver gilt strut. The frame holds thirteen tinted photographic miniatures. Inside the pediment is a photograph of the Grand Duke flanked by silver gilt applique years 1884-1909 and foliate scrolls. In frieze are swags with ribbons, in center is date: 15го Апрѣля (15 April). In main area of frame are circular vignettes photographs of the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess's childred surrounded by leaf frames. Pictured on the top row are John, Gabriel and Tatiana; in the next row down in octagonal frames are picture the palaces at Pavlovsk and the Marble Palace in St. Petersburg; pictured in the center row are their sons Konstantin, Oleg and Igor; in the next row down are pictured the Streletsky Palace and the Estate House at Ostashevo; in the bottom row are photos of children Georgii and Vera, between them is a wreath with a six-pointed star and the letter H, symbolizing ther daughter Natalia (born 10 March 1905) who died at the age of two months from meningitis.
