Portrait of St. John of Kronstadt seated in armchair, wearing embroidered robe, pectoral cross, and two orders. Printed(?) on silk. Mat bears signature autograph of St. John dated 19 March 1904 and inscription: Одобряю для воспроизведенiя на шелку - [illegible]. In top margin of mat is white cross, in bottom margin are white laurel branches, under them is day and year of St. John's repose: 19 20/XII 08. On reverse is lettering: Александръ Юльяновичъ | БЛЮМЕНТАЛЬ. | Екатерининскiй каналъ 42. | С.-ПЕТЕРБУРГЪ.

History Note

In photographs of the office of N.N. Aleksandrov in Holy Trinity Seminary this print is seen hanging on one of the walls.
