Foundation of Russian History Receives Book Donation from House of the Russian Diaspora

On October 15, the Foundation of Russian History received a donation of over 300 books for Holy Trinity Seminary’s library collection from the Alexander Solzhenitsyn House of the Russian Diaspora, which is part of the State Institution of Culture in Moscow. Holy Trinity Seminary was represented by His Eminence, Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America and New York, first Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad, Rev. Archimandrite Luke (Murianka), president of the Foundation of Russian History and rector of Holy Trinity Seminary, and Rev. Archpriest Vladimir Tsurikov, director and curator of the Russian History Foundation. V.A. Moskvin, director of the House of the Russian Diaspora, represented the donor institution at the event. All three are graduates of HTS. Fr. Luke officially signed the papers for the donation of the books at the Russian Consulate in New York City. The donated titles include works on religion, philosophy, history, art, literature, and biography.
