New Book on Laws of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia

The Foundation of Russian History and St. Tikhon’s University for the Humanities (Moscow) have jointly published a new book titled Zakonodatelstvo Russkoi Pravoslavnoi Tserkvi zagranitsei (1921-2007) [Laws of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia: 1921-2007]. Author Dimitry Anashkin, instructor at Holy Trinity Seminary and archivist of the Foundation of Russian History, has collected documents (in Russian) representing the unique experience of the Russian Orthodox Church in a variety of countries under diverse historical conditions. This compendium allows the reader for the first time to find material in a single volume on a range of topics such as cremation or Western liturgical rites.
